Apex Nexus Core exists to move routine AI work off rented frontier models and onto small specialists that organizations own outright — cheaper to run, private by construction, and lighter on the grid.
01 Why we exist
The last few years proved what very large models can do. The next few will be about doing the same work with far less. Most of the language tasks that matter to a hospital, an insurer, a city department or a ten-person software company are narrow, repetitive and well defined. They don't need a model that can do everything; they need a model that does one thing reliably, cheaply and privately.
The techniques for building such models — synthetic data generation, distillation, reinforcement learning with verifiable rewards — are well established in the research literature. What is missing is a product that packages them so a team without ML researchers can use them. That product is Nexus.
We are a product company. We don't sell consulting hours or bespoke projects. We are building one platform, and the platform does the work.

Every core ships with its evaluation against a frozen test set. If a small model isn't enough for your task, we say so.
The smallest model that clears the bar.
Efficiency is a design goal, not a side effect. Every parameter you don't need is cost, latency and energy saved.
Your data is yours.
Used for your core and nothing else. Never pooled, never resold, never used to train anyone else's model.
License-clean, end to end.
Open-weight teachers and bases whose licenses permit what we do with them, disclosed up front.
04 Where we are
Early, and saying so.
Nexus is in alpha testing. We have no customers to name and no benchmarks to publish yet. When we do, they will be on this site with the method beside them.
